A Swift look at IGR J17494-3030
Presenter: Dominik Hertel
The hard X-ray transient IGR J17494-3030 was first detected by Integral during the Galactic Center observations performed from 2012-03-17 to 2012-03-19 (Boissay et al., 2012, ATel3984). Several follow-up observations were performed by Swift on 2012-03-23, 2012-03-26, and 2012-03-30 for a total exposure time of 2.78ks. The resulting Spectrum can be well described by an absorbed powerlaw. The resulting lightcurve shows no signs of pulsations. The best fit with a reduced χ^2 of 0.99 for 250 degrees of freedom yields a N_H of 1.3(0.4) x10^22 cm^-2, a photon index of 2.03(0.20) and a flux between 3.20 and 6.89 x10^(-11) erg/(s·cm^2). These results allow only speculation about the nature of the source.
