Czech Participation in IXO: Recent Status

A short review of the recent status of Czech participation in the ESA/NASA/JAXA IXO project will be given with emphasis on the investigation and development of alternative technologies and approaches. These include glass and Si wafers slumping and stacking, and Kirkpatrick-Baez geometry/arrangements offering some advantages to the IXO optics such as no need of expensive mandrels, no need of bending substrates to small radii etc, hence cost-effective option able to meet the high accuracy required for IXO. Additional efforts focus on active approach to X-ray optics.
