Development of the glass mirror technology for IXO

We are making rapid progress toward meeting IXO requirements. In this paper, I will report on the status of mirror substrate fabrication, aka slumping, at Goddard Space Flight Center. As of November 2010, we have been able to make mirror substrates with 4.5" HPD (two reflections). We expect to be able to meet IXO requirements (3.3" HPD) in 2011.
