JANUS - A Cosmic Dawn Explorer

The Astro2010 Decadal Survey identified exploration of the time in the history of the Universe when it passed through a stage of reionizations as the 'Cosmic Dawn'. I describe an innovative Explorer proposal named 'JANUS' - Joint Astrophysics Nascent Universe Satellite - that will provide an unprecedented insight into this crucial period in the evolution of our Universe.
